About GOHPC
Founded on December 25, 1955 by Bishop Lena Thomas (1915-2007), the Gates of Heaven Pentecostal Church, located in West Philadelphia, is established as a house of prayer and worship steeped in a legacy of spiritual and physical chain-breakers empowered by the Spirit to enhance the lives of humanity with the Word of God.
In keeping with the mandate of the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20, the Gates of Heaven Pentecostal Church sets forth as it's mission to Exalt the Savior, to edify the saints, evangelize sinners, and to prepare the Church for the second coming of Christ.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." ~ Matthew 28:19-20
